Al-Maktab School is a beacon of aspiration and opportunity for underprivileged children in Lahore, Pakistan. Founded with a mission to provide quality education and holistic development, our school aims to break the poverty spiral through knowledge and empowerment.

At Al-Maktab School, we believe that every child deserves access to a nurturing environment and quality education. Our mission is to provide underprivileged children with the tools, skills, and support they need to reach their full potential academically, socially, and emotionally. Through comprehensive educational programs and supportive services, we strive to empower our students to become confident, compassionate, and successful individuals. As Albert Einstein says, ‘Education is not the learning of facts, but the training of the mind to think.’

Educational Programs

Al-Maktab School offers a structured curriculum tailored to meet the unique needs of underprivileged children:

• Academic Excellence: Rigorous instruction in core subjects such as mathematics, language arts, science, and social studies.
• Holistic Development: Enrichment activities including art, music, sports, and extracurricular clubs to foster creativity, critical thinking, and teamwork.
• Life Skills Education: Practical lessons in health education, environmental awareness, and personal development to equip students with essential life skills.

Our school provides primary and middle school education to students from playgroup to Grade 8. Then, students continue their higher studies in a nearby situated government school. At the moment, we have 500 pupils. We also provide provisions to our students for memorizing the Quran(hifz).

Facilities and Resources

Al-Maktab School is equipped with conventional classrooms, a library, computer labs, and recreational areas to provide a conducive learning environment. Qualified teachers and staff members are dedicated to nurturing each child’s academic and emotional growth, ensuring a safe and supportive educational experience. Books are provided by the school. Students are provided uniforms stitched by our vocational center’s students. Due to a shortage of water available, The Smol Box initiated the construction of a tube-well which highly benefitted the children. Moreover, the school ensures to organize celebrations of different festivals like Independence Day, Eid-Milad-un-Nabi. Our students have also been a part of LUMS Math Circle which was a great experience for the kids and look forward to more opportunities. Moreover, we encourage our students by giving them awards in the form of trophies, certificates or eatables etc. so they remain keen to gain knowledge.

Admissions and Financial Aid

Admission to Al-Maktab School is open to underprivileged children who demonstrate a desire to learn and grow. We offer financial assistance to ensure that every child has access to quality education, regardless of financial barriers. Our school fee is 1200Rs and students are given a partial or full fee waiver according to financial hardships.
